just saw online there now it’s the best mid range priced phone at present. I have been with apple the last10-12 yrs but iPhones are expensive

Yep. The pixel (X)a series is very good bang for the buck. 8yrs of updates and a top tier camera.

Mr has a Nothing phone 2, switched from a Poco phone last year, very happy with it. Rest of the family is using Xiaomi/ Poco.
