I'm 100% discreet so if I see anyone I've met or even recognise while out and about, they don't exist lol. Thankfully I haven't yet shit where I eat so I'm not worried about bumping into anyone in my local area.

If we ever see someone in public we've met or chatted with it just a small head nod and nothing else as you don't know who said person is out with so leave them to it

That's the most scariest part, being in a completely different scenario with friends or family and being recognised. It would be embarrassing and scary, hope it never happens to anyone 😄 well i hope that's why we do socials and long chats before moving any further on disclosing who you are

The idea is actually a turn on but the reality of living in a small town and being recognised wouldn't be fun.

But being recognised or talked to in a wrong crowd or by the wrong person is really awkward and scary. Some people are still unaware of the boundaries and privacy. But given the right time and choices of word play it would be really interesting, at the end of the day it all comes to the time and situation

The above is one of the reasons I left fab a few years back, back on here but very cautious going forward. I was living in a differnt county, and was at a friens house, celebrating his daughters conformation, this guy kept looking at me and kinda smirking, about an hour later in the kitchen getting a drink, he walks up and says my them fab user name, in front of two people, i reacted very quickly and went oh yes, ur the guy who watched me fuck his wife and ate my load out of her ass. He nearly died and i juat walked back out to the garden

Not funny at all actually terrifying was one of the reasons I deleted my profile before.First time was in Supervalu he sent me a message saying he recognised me from my gym leggings and had followed me around the shop. Second time was even creepier I had taken a pic during lockdown in my front garden a person recognised something distinctive from my garden told me where I lived and asked could he come over to meet me. I've had other I know you messages but these stand out as the creepiest ones. I think some people have the belief that if they recognise you its fair game to tell you I think they hope they'll fuck you it's not on I have my Fab life and my private life

Not in public as such but complete strangers at a fab social have walked up to me knowing my name and saying they recognised me from my pic in the chat group.

You can read whatever you wish into the fact that I had never spoken to any of these people who live 100+ miles from me and I hadn't been in any chat group and wouldn't have posted a facepic even if I had been.

I've only shared a face pic with 3 people on fab, one of whom I trust implicitly, one who is a very close friend and hasn't been on fab since 2018 and one who thankfully is no longer here on her single profile so it's pretty easy to narrow down the source.

Definitely discretion is a must I was walking into a local festival few years ago with my sister and guy I met was walking towards me and says hi Rosy how are you as he walks past like ffs. So I had to fob my sister off saying he was d*unk and mistook me

I would never approach anyone from fab when out and about and I don't expect anyone to approach me either. I keep both sides of my life separate and don't understand the mentality of those who approach others. I can't see how they think it will make someone want to meet them after,when all that have proven is they are completely indiscreet.

It really depends on the person, how well you know them and their situation. Id want to be confident that I wasn't outing someone to talk to them or acknowledge them in a vanilla space.

I also don't see anything wrong in messaging afterwards as long as it's done in a respectful and non-creepy/threatening way.

I had one years ago from someone constantly referring to green trousers and speaking in riddles.

Hadn't a clue who she was but long story short she was a member of the PSNI and was 100 percent convinced I was one of her colleagues.

She obviously wasn't a detective and I ended up blocking her because she wouldn't take no for an answer.

Happened to me few times in few different ways...I'm self employed(franchise owner) Met a client of mine at a social 6 years ago we are still in touch on Facebook..got a message on fab from a couple 6 years ago I recognised her as a fellow business owner hummed n haaad over it but felt disingenuous if I didn't disclose who I was so I did..we met fir lunch following week and she brought me a butt plug as a gift😆

Chatted with a guy at a party bout 4 years ago turned out we were Facebook friends 4 years through mutual friends..we are still friends abd chat..during covid My business shut down had to get proper job served a guy I'd met at a party few weeks previously he was with his partner I never flinched just chatted with her
