Always find the week between Xmas and new years strange, not sure what day it is, is there enough food, is there anywhere open, when did I shower, how many pairs of pjs do I own.

East / North, Cork

For me it's when the guilt sets in. Drank too much. Ate too much. Unnecessary packaging everywhere. Recycling bin overflowing. Spent too much money. Looking at loads of leftover food that's been bought. It's an overwhelming time for neurodivergent people and kids in particular with the overstimulation and fucked up routines. First world problems I'm fully aware.

Just a normal week for me. Sometime I'm sure I will decide to work in a job where I'm off for a while over the holidays.

The week between Christmas and New Year is like the space between a person's thighs. Nice to rest there a while but you soon get bored and want to move on to the end game.

I only lose track of the week when I'm not working during this period and it's been a while since I took Christmas off.

I'm working tomorrow, and than I get to pack for a 6 week cruise, fit a few gym visits in, a airport drop off, lunch with friends

6 week cruise! Wow! You lucky thing. Enjoy every minute of it. This is how to live life!

This is the week where it's more than acceptable to have a baileys at 10am with chocolate coins and have an existential crisis while your at it. Time doesn't exist. It's also a time for regretting all those plans "to catch up" over a drink, when all you want to do is lay up and watch Inner Space.

Yes, I'm talking about me. 🙂

I love this week! The only week of the year that you wear your PJs all day, then shower and change into a new pair of PJ's! Bliss 🥰

Today tho will be a trip to the Christmas markets with friends

Completely understandable though... Another first world problem for definite but almost found we got too much this year that it was overwhelming and didnt get to play with everything or open everything up

I love this week. The madness of Christmas has died down, no more travelling obligations to go meet family before/during Christmas. It's a chance to let the excitement wear off and just chill out and reset. Towards the end then is filled with dread of going back to work 😭
