Myself and the Mrs are looking to go away for a weekend in March, looking for recommendations for a mid priced (~200-300 per night) hotel which has a nice, preferably adult only, pool/spa area.

So Fabbers, what nice hotels have you been too that you'd recommend?

Thanks in advance.

Based on Dublin, preference is to stay within a two hour drive or so.

These are just ones off the top of my head!

Dunboyne Castle - might be to close to Dublin but i think a very underated hotel! Its one of my favs

Raddison Blu, Athlone - A great hotel and they have a lovely spa/bar area

Farnham Estate, Cavan - Stunning hotel with a heated outdoor pool and lovely spa area

Fitzwilliam Hotel, Belfast - a higher end hotel with a lovely spa included

My personal fav though if you really wanted to splash cause its pricey is The Wineport in Athlone! Its proper luxury, a superb spa and the hot tubs on the lough are just perfect

Thanks, we are discussing Farnham, it been a few years since we have been there, but it does fit what we're looking for.

We went to Wineport for our last get away, loved it, but it was a little tricky sneaking another couple into our room, and we're not looking to quite spend that much this time.

Love the Farnham, breakfast is good but wouldn't rate the food otherwise!Galgorm is very popular but can be extremely busy especially at the weekends.

"The Knightsbrook in Trim "

Really? Why?

Been there a few times but never stayed.

Curious as to why you think it's good.
