As 2024 comes to a close , does anyone else reminisce of their fab journey the past few months or years ?

The highs and lows yous have experienced along the way and what 2025 has in store ?

Over the years for us personally our swinging journey has had plenty of ups and downs and twists and turns but we wouldn’t change any of it , we love all our fab memories , the highs have been amazing ,the lows have been lessons learnt and the amazing people we have met along the way

Back again for another nibble and some ya ho yuck and fuck in the bin

then there's sone ya taste and are OK until you get into the middle and are sour.

2024 has been mostly highs with a couple of really stratospheric moments....

Lows were having to opt out of fab walking group for health reasons but hoping to be back in action for 2025.

Imagine going to a beautiful high end luxury Swiss chocolate store, all the amazing goods on display, the descriptions alone are making your mouth water. You get excited and think this will be amazing 👏 You choose your favourites but when you arrive home you open the boxes and they're all empty 🙄

That pretty much sums my Fab experience as a single guy in 2024. But I'm not about to give up let's hope for better times in 2025.

Highs. Going to socials. Meeting new people and making some great friends along the way. Having counts cups of coffees, pizza dates. dinners dates. Getting invited to my first play party

Lows. Having to have to turn down 2 a play party due to work.

No real lows to be honest

The highs are getting away at weekends to socials with Toxic

The biggest high was 7 days together in PDI

It gets better every year with the amount of friends and fellow fabbers you also meet

No highs or lows for me this year as my health and home life took priority over Fab.

I have chatted with some lovely people on here though and made a few plans for 2025 😉

Just passed our 1st year Fab anniversary and it's been a lot of fun. Met some amazing people.

Its been way more intense than we'd imagined. Hopefully 2025 will bring much more of the same

2024 was a year of major transition and change for me. MAJOR!

I attempted suicide more than once.

My marriage ended.

I closed my 20 year marketing career.

I was given a written diagnosis of cPTSD, and verbal diagnosis of AuDHD and BPD.

I started a whole new journey of mental discovery through the above, and started breaking down 40 years of masking.

I came out as Pansexual.

I started a Polysexual and Polyamorous relationship.

I started studying to be an Special Needs Assistant.

I started studying Social Care.

I started work again, part time.

I am rebuilding everything.

2025 will be my year of rebirth. A new me. A new start. A new journey.

My fab journey this year has been a non starter.I have too much going on in my life outside of fab so it has taken a back seat as I don't have the time or energy for it.Who knows what next year will bring but at the moment I can't see a lot changing.

Our swinging journey this year has been amazing. So many highs to remember. Have met some lovely people and made some great new friends along the way. It's quality over quantity. Really looking forward to 2025 and adding to our circle of friends here.

2024

The lows

- took the blinkers off to some friendships and connections and spent time resetting and rebuilding figuring out what was important.

- health took a dive this year: Long Covid with it's neurological side effects.

More recently- sudden discovery of spine degeneration and nerve damage.

Highs

- I GOT DIVORCED 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

- took a chance on a one to one coffee that turned into friendship first and has developed into the relationship I never knew I wanted or needed. CasuallyChilled - my polypartner, my best friend and absolutely the strongest person I know and love ❤️

- began the journey of discovering my own neurodivergence and received the cathartic and positively affirmative diagnosis that I am Autistic - the mask has been removed and will never go back on again. I am enough xx

- being able to travel the neurodiversity journey with my previously diagnosed children, alongside my polypartner and other friends and family has been life changing, beautiful and the greatest gift 2024 could have presented. To have strength in numbers during the scary but exciting unknown.

- work continues to be a positive aspect of my life which I am forever grateful and thankful for.

- financially things have stabilised after a rocky few years.

So all in all - more highs than lows and the first year in many I look back with a smile at a year at the majority of it.

2024 has passed by in a moment..l start the year with resolutions and I've not achieved too many of them.

Fab has had more lows than highs this year. Still enjoying the banter and fun though.

Did more traveling this year than ever. 2025 is a seminal year for me, so here's hoping.

There and Here

2024 started out in the shadow of me taking the decision at the end of 2023 to end a 5 year relationship with my soulmate. It took me many months to figure out who I was without him, to stop comparing everyone to him and to stop missing him with every fibre of my being. With time though, we worked through all the emotional wreckage, salvaged our friendship, and made peace with our new relationship.

Sexually though, I was still full of self doubt, preventing myself from moving on. That changed when I met a fantastic guy on here who, without even knowing it, gave me the acceptance to just be myself, to enjoy being intimate with someone again, to just have fun and laugh and be silly, and reminded me that I actually can "do Fab" as a single woman.

But above all, the friends I've made over the years here are a constant high point - my girlies are the best, and every day that goes by cements that 🩷

So, yeah, the year started on a low, finished on a high and had a whole big pile of meh in between
