Trying to keep it to bands or artists who were still gigging by the time I started going to gigs, I’d say Rory Gallagher, Tom Petty, Van Halen.

I’d like to have seen Jimi Hendrix, Thin Lizzy, Led Zeppelin and Queen but they had mostly broken up, stopped touring or died before I began going to gigs.

Saw Ozzy twice with Sabbath, 2013 & 2017 but very foolishly opted not to go and see him solo about 1992. I had a ticket for his last tour, which was postponed due to the pandemic and then illness, before finally being scrapped entirely.

I've seen most bands I wanted to. Some I haven't though and already mentioned.

System of a Down

Audiosl*ve (won't let me post the word!)

The White Stripes

The latter two I did have a chance to see, passed it up only to later regret it...

Most violent mosh pit i was even in was watching RATM.

The Beatles id have loved, but got to see Macca twice both of which was amazing.

Many years ago Gary Moore was in the Waterfront, Belfast. I was a busy Mum on a budget and decided I couldn't really afford it. Then he passed away, I was gutted but also learnt a valuable lesson. Go see the gig, go have the fun. As long as you can reasonably do it...go do the thing.

Hence the swinging. It all started with a missed Gary Moore gig.

Seen SOAD that time the Ozzfest came to Punchestown, brilliant!.Would love to see them indoors though.Bolt Thrower ,really miss them, they played Cork in the mid 2000s,the sound was really bad!,it spoilt it for me.Thankfully caught them a few years later in the Button Factory, they were soo good!

I am with you on this one.

I got to see Michael Jackson in Park Ui Coimh (by climbing a tree in a place called the Dwiers, a pair of binoculars in hand as the sound traveled up and out the stadium across the river up the hill). I was young. U2 at Lark by The Lee was free. If I could I would swap these memories for seeing the Pogues and Shane.
