There is no one thing I think "should" be in a first message.

I either get the urge to say something to someone that inspires a message or I don't bother.

I send messages that entertain me I don't worry too much about crafting it in a way that maximises the chance of a response.

The way I see it if they respond to my general nonsense there is a better chance of a match, if not then it's saved us both some time

I'm not going to say what should be said, not gonna make it easy for them lol!! Check the profile and ask yourself, what do you like about the profile...... the pics, the profile itself, the verifications.... comment on one of those positively!!

Show that you have after reading their profile fully by including something they like . Be respectful and complimentary and don't get annoyed if they don't reply . Some people get hundreds of messages they can't respond to them all.

Pick something out of their profile to ask them about. Show that you read and understood it. Don't message at all if you don't meet their criteria, don't think you are unique and you are 'the one' that will make them change their minds on something they clearly state they DONT want.

Be respectful, have enough pics that they don't have to ask for one. Have a filled out bio that gives your personality a chance to shine. If a person has to drag info out of you they won't bother. And all the ones thinking 'why? Is this not just a site to fuck people on'then realise that most people don't want that kind of interaction, connection is important to alot of people on here. So make an effort!
