So looking at some of the photos on here..a lot seem to be very well taken. Alas I don't fit into that category

So how do people go about getting and posting good photos. Especially single people like myself?

Experiment with different lighting. Get someone to help if you can. Take loads and pick the best

A selfie stick tripod combo is only a few quid from pound stretchers or the range or similar places and just play with different lights you have at home use scarfs to difuse or colour the light and use your phone cameras timer functions and there's also loads of presets hou can try too

Keep the angles tight- if you want to show your stomach makes sure nothing else is in the shot like dirty washing or untidy beds, well lit- natural lighting is best, hold phone up- not from below, colour popping is dated, black and white can add drama. Google golden hour and rule of thirds. Play around with filters in your phone too. And have fun with it. Look at teasingtim for inspo and other accounts.

Timers and video captures, all phones not have an action you can make to take a picture when your in the frame without having to physically press the phone

Most of mine are done by propping the phone up against something and using the selfie timer.

Choose an uncluttered or interesting background.

Crop judiciously

Play about with light and shadows, colour and mono.

Take loads and choose the ones that please you. Don't worry if you're pulling a weird face - you can crop it out.

Most of all, have fun with it and remember that the more you do it the better you'll get and the more you'll get an eye for it and what works for you

I believe a photo studio is opening up soon enough around the place. Women available to take pictures of women, men to take pictures of men ,it made me wonder what happens if you bring your dog ?

It could help you out with your query OP. Not the dog, but the studio.

hire a small studio for an hour, bring a friend you trust with a camera , studio guys/gals will set you up with triggers for their light set-up so you can take advantage of their lighting and space to be you... the best images you will take will be the ones towards the end when you get used to it and don't overthink & have fun being you

Never spent more than 5 mins on any pic and that includes editing.

I prop the phone against something and use a 10 second timer.

I might take 3 or 4 at most, then pick the best one, crop it and adjust the lighting and that's it.

None of them are planned. They are all spur of the moment ideas.

I've seen people talk about taking a video rather than pics and then scrolling through and picking individual frames from it and editing those.

I find taking them when I m hung over and horny or naked getting in to the shower works well.

For public ones: people want to see a silhouette of your body shape, to know what they are getting. I like a little decorum, so less of the dick pics and more of the torch down your jocks borderline. I m also a fan of shower pics or nice glistening skin after the shower.

No clutter, dirty sinks, remote controls or deodorant cans.

I have a process for taking photos because that's just how my brain works.

I only take photos when I'm in the mood and feeling it.

I may have an idea that was inspired from something I've seen.

I take one photo. If I don't like it I'll try something else another day.

I try to never take the same kind of shot twice.

I edit them. Crop, brightness, contrast and all those things. Snapseed is my favourite app for this.

Sometimes the challenge is to take and photo or even take a part of the photo and turn it into something I'm happy with.

I'd say some general tips are that standing directly in front of the camera with your arms by your side is too neutral to be eye catching. So pose. You'll feel silly. No one will ever know.

Selfies while holding the camera can be great but the angles are limited so you'll run out of road quickly.

The selfie timer and exporting frames from short videos are the way forward.

If you really get into it there's voice activated apps tripods etc.

All of my photos have been taken on a five year old phone that was propped up whatever I could find.

I like setting up lighting to create an atmosphere so a simple colour changing bulb in a lamp, along with a secondary light source (such as the bathroom door open with the light on was used the last time) and then a simple selfie stick. Mine has a Bluetooth button I can take off the selfie stick. I put the phone on the selfie stick on the dresser, roughly frame it up but as long as I'm in frame it's fine because I can crop and centre later.

I crop out things like open bathroom doors, messy bedside cabinets etc.

I usually take 8 to 10, send them all to my bf, select a couple to post in my three usual online places. This isn't my preferred place, there's one better where people can comment and like your photos.

I enjoy the creative process.
