Also to note that SH sends a plain parcel with the kit + the self paid return envelope so that you can put your samples in it and just drop it into a postbox. Very discreet!

It's a great service.

I've only used it once, but text messages to say they got your kit and then next day I got the results are very good. Very quick turn around too for a free service.

Gives a bit of peace of mind

Bit of a silly question but how the hell do you take a blood sample at home. Never had home test before only clinical

It think it’s just a pin prick on a spring type device like for testing sugar levels

Yes it's a spring loaded device that makes a tiny cut. If your hand is warm beforehand it really helps. I put my hand in hot water for 5mins. Mr says doing the washing up really helps

It's a fantastic service, so easy and convenient to use.

Just to add, I got a reminder for my smear test last month and had my appointment last week. My health care provider offered me sexual health screening too which was great. Ladies, make sure your smears are up to date too. 🙂

Gentlemen, make sure your smears are clear too. I checked all my boxers and they are smearless as of this morning, though I did have Mexican for lunch

Original point is valid though, men and women should check themselves regularly and get any irregularities checked out as soon as possible

I have found have a shower first, get the blood circulation going. Prick the finger and literally massage the tip of finger to help blood flow.

I've just had a Lletz treatment doing following 3 smears and a coloscopy coming back with abnormal cells. Fingers crossed will get the all clear soon.

Ladies seriously do not put off your smears

Tiny clicker thing that bites a little hole in your finger , then you drop the blood into the premarket tube.

I did some pushups to get the blood flowing but it probably wasn't necessary.

It's a good service but I didn't get the result the next day , it's like three days or so whenever I've used it.

Meath / Dublin / Birmingham

Had an absolute nightmare with this this morning. It's always been fairly straightforward.

Hot shower etc, the usual. Just could not get the blood out of me at all. Tried a second finger (ooh err says you...), same thing. Every time I moved the arm about I'd send blood flying, kitchen table was like a crime scene.

Stress!

Great service though

Definitely recommend their service ! Been using it regularly over the last few years.

Discreet packaging, good communication too. You get a text when the kit is dispatched, a video link on how to take blood sample, when they received your kit and when is best to test again.

I usually get my results back 24-72 hrs later.

No problem with flow either😬

Those tiny little circular plasters they provide were not enough to stop the blood!!😳🙈🙈

I have to take the blood sample sitting on the bed incase I faint

I take the blood sample after a hot shower and a few fist pumps. I've had no problems with filling the blood vial.

And for those that are not aware anyone in the swingers community or anyone that has sex with multiple partners qualify to get PREP (HIV preventive pill) for free, including women.

It is NOT just for gay men, it's for EVERYONE that is considered at risk by a DOCTOR, don't let the secretary in the front desk tell you otherwise, only the doctor can say you don't qualify.

Anyone having sex with multiple partners qualify.

Every 12 weeks is the most you can do. I just set a reminder in my phone.
