Co. Cork

It all comes down in the end to the words of James Carville....

whether it's a Shinner, Finner, or Failer government.

If SF do get power they will do the same as FF have done in the past, giveaway budgets to buy votes in an effort to cling onto power which in turn will bankrupt the country.

Welcome back the Troika after a few short years of MaryLou's largess.

I think it doesn't say much for the other politicians in that area that the monk has a chance of being elected

Well, ff fg have always been in. They have country destroyed, and making promises now for elections, when they are already in. Could of done said things all along. So I'll vote for anyone but them, or greens. Fuck them all. Promise you stars, moon and sun but do nothing when in. Pocket money and more taxes. Should be fucked out of they can't make there election promises for one, and prison for all the bike shed and hospital stuff. Any other job you'd be gone for 2euro missing. Sick of this country.

A nice rock

SF running candidates in Dublin Central seems like it's a recipe for disaster.

Hopefully Steensen and Hutch split each other's votes.

It's hard to see Daly not getting in

As SF have never been in power we don't know how they will actually perform.

For over a hundred years we have had either FF or FG in government. They are different sides of the same coin. We will never get better as long as they continue, knowing they only have to wait their turn!

At least SF regardless of wether one dislikes or loves them, offer a true change.

The previous alternative parties all turned out to be busted flushes and lackies to the big two; PDs, Labour and the Greens.

If and then when SF get in and fail (or possibly succeed?) the next vote we the individuals vote and decide who gets to represent us in the next cycle.

For over a hundred years, new voter's have voted as their fathers voted, based purely on a clanish allegiance. Why should this continue?

No change will bring more of the same failed and failing politics.

I say vote change and keep voting change until all the politicians realise we do not accept self centered ways of the past!

Surely we can't put FF/FG back in. Can't stand that "family all voted FF, so so must I.".

Vote on whoever on the ballot will do the most for your community, but don't put the landlords and bankers back in power. If we do, we are a effing joke of a nation.

They will all leave when Trump taxes the shit out of them. He has stated that he wants the multinationals back in the states and paying their taxes there.

You've to laugh when people say that SF would be running the country into the ground.

Fact is: FF and FG did exactly that in 2010 and we're still paying for it. And their incompetence is still ongoing, the list of screw ups is almost endless and again we're paying for it. How many more years of total failure proof does it need?

That a lot of people want change is reflected in the rise of independent candidates since 2010. They might hit the sentiment of their constituency but are unlikely to bring change on national issues as there's no common consense and strategy.

If I could vote my vote would go to a left leaning party that has the chance to get into power and hopefully bring some change. If they sort out just one issue of that endless list mentioned above, it would already be a success.

Common Ireland, it's time for a change!

The economic world wide recession had something to do with it also. FF were there at the time & got the blame for everything. We had tie biggest loss that a bank has ever had in the world with Anglo Irish Bank. Every headline was terrible & we were going downhill fast, bank shares were worthless , no jobs etc. FF & FG gpt us back to recovery. They know what they are doing ! The opposition have no experience of being in government, if SF can make a government / majority they will spend the whole term in power arguing with each other.

Every recent headline about SF has been shocking , scandal after scandal, they are incompetent.

The alternative is not there.

Anyway back to swinging subjects lot politics.
