What books have influenced the way you think and behave ?

I will go with thinking fast and slow

Northern Ireland

The Magic Tree was one of my favourites and all the Terry Pratchets.

As for what influenced me, The Ethical Slut was really helpful as I embarked on a sex positive journey and tried to shed all the years of slut shaming.

A rich piece of our cultural hertiage to some. A piece of endured torture for the young people of Ireland to others. Its probably neither.

But it set me on a journey, and I hated the bloody thing. Good aul Peig eh.

I read Zen and the art of Motorcycle Maintenance as well as a teen. It was a fashion then (you were cool if you read it...but probably cooler if you understood it)

I read it with a mix of 'wha?' and 'OMG my life has changed forever'. It was at my limit of understanding of the concepts though. Mix of a immature mind and maybe lack of brain cells.

The Bible

I have learned reading perusing the book called The Bible for Believers and Nonbelievers. It is a funny, though rather childish, book highlighting the absurdity of religious zealotry and beliefs. I had to read the original Bible after that of course, and it didn't disappoint! Such hilarity, much smiting and oh! The letters! When people had to think before putting their insults on the paper and then waiting for months to get a reaction, the trolling and putdowns were more inquisitely crafted than in this age of instant gratification.

When I grew up there was no such thing as bi gay even straight
