Trying to attend more events so I thought I'd ask;

What events would people recommend here?

Hey there, I always recommend the smaller coffee socials. It's so much easier to chat to people at those than at the larger socials which can be (dare I say it) clicky. We are guilty of that as we are comfortable with the friends that we meet at them. But you need to go outside of your comfort zone as well. Good luck.

It depends on what you’re looking for. If you want to meet people and network then the small socials are best, I’ve been to a few of Jaffa’s coffee socials and recently went to Beija’s midweek social. Between 30-60 people so you get to chat to folk.

The bigger socials like the RVC one are great craic but unless you have prearranged to meet people it can be quite difficult to meet new people. So if you’re looking for a “nightclub” experience then I’d recommend the bigger socials.

The DV8 social on Sunday is a super way of dipping the feet! Great venue, super bunch of people and alot of fun aswell with no pressure added

Try joining one of the walking groups on here. A very safe, discreet, relaxed way to meet new people with lots of chat and banter during the walk and over coffee and cake afterwards.

Where do you shine?

If your up for having the craic in a busy bar there's plenty of those going on.

Prefer quieter tables you can just sit in at where everyone is having a coffee and a chat. There's those too.

Jaffa's coffee socials always been great. I tend not to go to busy nights out.

If you fancy a trip up north - we have two events coming up.

We pride ourselves on coming up with Original themes, we always have a group chat for people who are attending upcoming event to get to know each other, we play party games with guests, put on entertainment and actively try to go out of our way to introduce people to one another.

I’d advise going onto forums and all events for the year is on there, you have been to the RedVelvetClub’s M&G lately so that is the biggest one in Ireland, there’s lots more including RVC’s club nights in Cork, also on in Cork is L.U.S.T a fellow friend and hostess 😉 there’s so many events throughout Ireland north and south 😉 so many to choose from. So again in Ireland section look for fab events and the worlds your oyster 💋💋

I have been to both small and large M&G events, both have pros and cons as you have stated.

With my limited availability I just need to figure what I should invest my time in.

Yes Jaffa and RVC events are enjoyable.

I am initially looking to socialise.
