We see that Netflix has ‘eyes wide shut’ is back… Christmas season. What’s your favourite or memorable scene, quote, image… we watched it this evening and guessing other couples will do the same this time of year … fab version of love actually lol. Go for it …. Odd things welcome … it is a Kubrick film !

I've seen it, but I don't really think it is a good representation of swinging.

The lead guy is really jealous of his wife having fantasies about another man.

And he goes to a secret party with a sexual ritual at a mansion held by elite wealthy men.

But the women involved are sex workers, and one he meets there who who protects him when he's caught turns up dead.

So it doesn't work from women's perspective.

Just watched it. I know its Kubrik, but for me the scene was Kidmans scene early in the film, where she tells the fantasy of the serviceman. She is high, and is she trying to share her fantasy, or torture him, or somewhere in between. I don't think its resolved by the end of the film. For me the conversation about Dreams and One Night doesn't address it.

Only watched it yesterday for the first time, due to references on fab. Had to see what I was missing. Fecking awful film. Acting and script are shite. Never realised how bad an actress Nicole K is. Boring, slow and naff re infidelity/swinging. Turned it off before the end. I think the only reason it's popular is because it was acceptable main-stream porn of a time. Gratuitous tits in as many scenes as possible, felt like a hammer horror!
