Do you prefer Dogs or Cats .

I was always a dog lover but in the last few years I have started to like cats don't know if I prefer them .

We have a litter of gorgeous kittens at the moment so it's hard no love them.

Probably more a cat lover now.

My family had dogs most of my life, but they were working dogs and not really pets.

My actual first pet was a kitten called Dougal. Mad fella. We got him to be my pet as my ex had her cat...

Now we have a dog and no cats. I just can't connect the same to the dog as i did with the cats, probably as id never had a dog as a 'pet'.

I love both. I have had both. If I was forced to choose, it would be down to where I was living. Dogs need more space. Cats can make their way in the most built up of areas. Cats will think that they own you. Dogs will die for you!

Isn't there a story that if you collapse and die in your house if you own cats they'll eat you eventually

If you own dogs they'll lie beside you and die

Grew up with both and love them both, however I only have cats now as they are by far the more practical pet.

A dog’s love is given so freely that it cheapens it somewhat. To bond with a cat takes a lot more commitment but can be very rewarding when they do connect with you - they like to treat you mean to keep you keen

There’s nothing that compares to the loyalty of a dog though, it’s something else.

Oh I’m an absolute cat lady..

I have 5 mogs.. I know I know.. but they just keep arriving at my house.. but what can a witch do but welcome familiars to her lair.

I’ve even been told I can be quite cat like myself.. which is a serious complement

I am owned by one cat (the queen) currently, I love her more than anything else in the world. I love dogs and regularly stop people walking their dogs when I’m out and ask if I can pet them. I love all animals really!

I always thought I was dog person until I got two little kittens from the same litter last year and now I feel like I'm a cat person. They really won me over.

Unfortunately both my cats passed away before they turned one but I think I'll wait a little while and have another pet in the new year.

I'm a self professed cat whisperer lol have never met a cat yet that i can't tame given the time/chance. That said I currently have no cats but do have a dog that is part of the family. I will hopefully get a new cat in the new year - my cat of 16 years passed away last Christmas and it has taken this long to even consider getting a new one. He was a complete lap cat and adored people.

Cats or dogs I get great entertainment from both but dogs definitely have much better personalities and more affectionate , but you could set your clock with cats at dinnertime. Hanging song like a bad smell looking up at ya for the dinner

Lovely to see so many people who really love their animals. We have had a tough 12 months lost both dogs due to illness and lost our 2 cats due to accidents

But we have a female now and 4 kittens got her neutered. So we have plenty entertainment with them. Thinking of looking for a home for 2 of them maybe
