Myself and Mrs Fifty lamenting the closure of Vanilla earlier this year the other night. We loved the set up - just seemed easy or something.

Any sign of a replacement?

Indeed Seth. I think we learned the club vibe is very different to the play party or social vibe. They all have their place but each is distinct.

I miss it! It was my first club experience and holds a special place in my heart... opened up a whole new world 😍 Where people talked to and had the craic with complete strangers on a night out! The play element to it was just the cherry on top!

Yep ... just talking to complete strangers or vice versa and freedom from phones. The night could be very random - and we went as a couple !!

I've had this chat with so many fab people.. people out in vanilla life do not "generally" talk to others but I've found fab socials/parties so refreshing! It's so much more open and friendly, you could chat to someone/couple for ages regardless if there was physical attraction amd just get to know them.

Never went, and we didn't hear great things about the venue, but we're kind of stuck in that department here in Ireland. So I can understand why an industrial estate was the only option.

I do think it's a damn shame Dublin has no permanent clubs. It would make things so much easier if people could just meet at a venue.

One of the things we love about the LS.

If you go out to a random club it's rare you'd get chatting to others.

But in LS it's just so refreshing to have so many chats with other people. Any attraction is of course a plus but it still makes for enjoyable nights.

Insurance, fire safety, drink reg in a private club... and journo. God knows how the (lovely) hosts succeeded for so long to be honest and the Covid hassle.

Preferred Vanilla's venue to the previous Blanch venue, but hopefully it re-emerges!
