East / North, Cork

You mean do they TAKE cash? Yes, but it depends on the hotel. Some might look for a security deposit. If in doubt call in advance and ask.

I'd usually just put it on card but it says on the listings on dayuse.ie what type of payments each hotel takes under the 'Specific Conditions' section, and whether they require a deposit.

Thought you were on about ones on dayuse.ie... if not you'd need to contact them directly

Sounds like he op doesn't want anyone to know they are at the hotel. Even though most hotels take cash they put a security deposit on the card which sometimes does appear on the online banking. The odd one takes a cash deposit but the room may have to be checked before you get it back.

Get yourself a Revolut card separate from your shared bank account and use it.

The problem I find is that they need to check the room when you check out which leaves you waiting in the lobby for ages, especially if you want discretion, could bump into someone..
