I'm polyamorous.

I think some people don't understand that poly describes the person not the relationship. A person 'is' poly - capable of or is actively in a loving relationship with more than one person. Polysexual is what most people confuse with polyamorous.

In the sams was as a women who is bi can be in a relationship with a man but still be attracted to women. They aren't playing straight, they have simply formed a relationship with one of their possibilities.

I don't believe someone can become poly - they may discover they like polysexual activity but people either are polyamorous or they aren't.

I'm the same as SJ. Definitely polyamorous. However, it's probably also important to say that I am non-monogamous.

Polyamorous = loving multiple people at the same time

Non-monogamous = having sex with multiple people at the same time
