Has anyone ever booked a hotel for a daytime meet?

I came across a website that offers to book a room in a cork hotel from 9am to 5pm

Just wondering if anyone has done the same?

Or do the stuff just know what you are there for

Used a few in Belfast yeah, not in a while though. They're very handy. And can usually be cancelled without penalty up until the night before. It's all on the site anyway.

Sure if only I'd an excuse to try one out again soon 😇

The pub then supermacs ...

User a few in Dublin near the airport think the one or two in the city might be a bit cheaper, think one of them is 10am-7pm....

Holiday Inn on Hope Street would be my preference but any of the city centre ones are grand. The times can vary so really it's whichever suits your needs best

The Leonardo is not great. You always get an awful room.

somewhere

Used a few in Belfast

The holiday inn Express and the Leonardo

Prefer to stay the night for the last couple of years instead and great rates possible if booked in advance

You can also ring a hotel and explain that you're coming off a night shift with builders in your house

So you need a bed for a sleep before work ,no breakfast and you can leave at 9pm with the earliest possible check in

They do a deal

There's a whole website dedicated to listing availability around the country-google dayuse hotels! Was a lot more availability during covid, guess they only put rooms up during low season in most hotels as you'd need lots of cleaning staff to turn a hotel room over twice a day!

If you're worried about what hotel staff think, stay near the airport. Perfectly normal to want a hotel for a few hours before your flight. But in reality, staff do know what hotel rooms get used for, and so long as it's legal they really couldn't care any less.

Never had that issue with Leonardo in Belfast. The only problem with it I found is the small low beds

I've booked Hampton, Leonardo and Holiday Inn and never once had an issue with staff entering. Always made sure to have the Do Not Disturb sign hung out.

The Leonardo in Cork looks like the only one available, might have to rethink

A lot of people book a room in my place on booking and just stay a couple of hours. It’s only £60 either way

Have used a few around Dublin, great facility!

Hampton by Hilton in smithfield is funky and the rooms are very nice, definitely my 1st choice and €90 from 12-6.
