The first Drogheda Casual Social will take place on Sunday 29th September 2024, from 2pm, in a Drogheda venue to be confirmed to verified attendees.

What is the Drogheda Casual Social?

Drogheda Casual Social is a different kind of social event. Held every month on the last Sunday of the month, the Drogheda Casual Social (DCS) will not be ticketed and attendance will be if and when you like, once you've passed the initial verification. DCS will be held in the same regular venue and you can simply pop along and enjoy an early afternoon catch up with local Fab friends.

DCS is designed primarily for local Fabbers and those in proximity to Drogheda. However, we always welcome friends who may be travelling a little further. While there are great socials held in Dublin, Dundalk, the Midlands, there just isn't anything in Drogheda, or during the daytime in Louth at all. DCS hopes to fill that void and give people a casual way to meet other Fabbers, to get 'Meet Verified', and who knows maybe you'll make new friends.

What do I do to attend?

Interested Fabbers who would like to attend, just need to message the DroghedaCasualSocialAdmin profile and say you are interested in attending the social. You will then be assessed on the following criteria:

- Time on Fab: Minimum four weeks.

- Pic Verified: Need to see the tick.

- Profile Pic / Public Pic: No pic no invite

- Bio: Who are you and what do you like. Two lines or a 'fill in later' won't cut it.

If you have all of the above, then you will be invited to the Pre-Social Verification. This is just to make sure you are who you say you are and that you don't show up with friends who did not request an invite. Ultimately, attendance will be at the discretion of admins and there will be zero tolerance for any anti-social behaviour or aggressive actions.

I'm not 100% sure but from the original post it's starting at 2pm - a coffee style social so might run to 5.30/6 unless it stays open late or people make plans for after. Either way it should be a lot of fun and refreshingly different.

Hey Everyone,

Indeed this is a day time Casual Social. Things kick off at 2pm and will very much be coffees and chats.

It's no problem arriving late but there is no expectation for this to run on late into the evening. So, it might be worth looking at travel times if people are coming from further afield and arriving late.
