I went on a second date with a nice guy, the night was amazing we had a good time.

He was driving me back home, I asked him to stop and I had to empty my bladder on someone's front garden.

This is not a behaviour I am proud, I take medications to control my bladder condition but it's not always perfect.

Today he called me saying he was disgusted with the event and do not want to see me again.

Is it usual men having strong feelings about this or I dodged a bullet?

I'm incredibly upset and cried for the last hour.

As a regular hillwalker it is common for both women and men to take a discreet "nature break" when necessity arises.

Nothing shameful, just another of life's bodily functions like coughing or sneezing.

PS.

Our fab walks are never long enough to require nature breaks and are usually located close to the necessary facilities.

Well when you need to pee you need to pee. You can only hold for so long until it becomes a real issue. Plus it's not good for you to try and hold it in it for longer than necessary when your bladder is that full.

Maybe peeing in someone's garden put him off more than actually needing to pee. The chances are he has peed outdoors himself at some stage when he needed to.

The way he said it to you is wrong and immature. So you definitely dodged a bullet with him and are way better off without him. Do not let him upset you he's not worth it.

Hey, don’t feel bad! I understand—it happens, and sometimes you just have to do what you need to do. It’s happened to me before, and I’ve had to pull over and find a bush to pee.

I do feel sorry for women, though, since it’s not as easy for them as it is for guys. But I’d never ditch you for that—that would be stupid! One day, it’ll happen to him too.

Hey girl. Absolutely his loss. Like many said, even if he had a problem with that, no need to say it, an excuse would have been enough.

I had a play meet, and was sitting naked on his couch and coughed and to my despair a little bit of pee escaped. Needing cleaning materials I had to tell him. I was so embarrassed, near crying. He was a gentleman, insisted on cleaning it and when that near made me more embarrassed, he told me how he soiled himself during an online work meeting.

So there is good guys out there, and they deserve you. Chin up !

My ex had absolutely no compunction about going for a sneaky pee whenever she needed to. She had a kidney issue and when she had to go she had to go. She's not the type to suffer embarrassment, or fools, and anyone that didn't like it could piss off. Pun intended.

When I think about all the lads I see pissing up against any available vertical surface on the way home from the pub it's really hard to see any issue with a lady, who really had no choice, doing what she needs to do.

I have problems with urge incontinence - thanks menopause! - but I wouldn't pee in someone's garden.

There's a big difference between taking a pee "outside" or on a stranger's private property!

I'd be pretty pissed off if a random stranger - man, woman or child took a pee in my front garden!!!

To the OP - I genuinely feel for you, or anyone, suffering this medical condition as I'm sure it's debilitating! but in my opinion, as an adult, taking a pee in someone's front garden is inexcusable. Surely a more suitable location could have been found! And precautions taken when you are aware of your medical condition - incontinence pads etc are available for purchase in most supermarkets and pharmacies ...

My opinion is that “it ain’t what you do it’s the way that you do it, it ain’t what you say it’s the way that you say it.”

For instance, if I was driving someone I barely knew home and they turned to me out of the blue and said abruptly: “here pull over a minute I need to take a piss” with no supporting context it would raise an eyebrow. If the person then proceeded to foul someone else’s property instead of looking for a communal space like a wooded area, I’d be mortified by the behaviour I had just witnessed and would not want to have anything more to do with the person.

On the other hand, if the person explained to me their medical challenges and the severity involved, and if there was really no alternative than to use a person’s garden, and if the person was embarrassed about the situation to some degree, then my attitude would be very different. I’d probably joke with them about it to ease their embarrassment. When you gotta go you gotta go.

This situation sounds a lot more like the second scenario, in which case I feel sorry for you for not being met with a little compassion by this person.

I've many a time jumped a gate or even pulled in somewhere and behind the car.. I've on many occasion burnt the fanny off myself by nettles that I've pissed on without knowing..
