I broke my right forth MetaCarpal in the winter (Roller skating). It takes longer to heal than you think. I kept forgetting about it, then setting the healing back. It still hurts...

I broke two metatarsals in my right hand and trust me , I still felt pain when someone did give me proper handshake almost year after…

Just rest it, but physio will help…

Lots of physio , I used tennis and squash balls to build up strength in the hand afterwards.
