Came to work today and left my wallet at home ...no panic have my cards on the phone and don't use cash usually

Different matter if I go anywhere without the phone

I'd turn back and be late anywhere to have my phone with me

Do you ever take a break from your phone

Do you know where it is at all times

I turn mine off going asleep and thats it

Nope I don’t know where my phone is at all times and “anyone seen my phone?” Is probably the question I ask the most!

That said I spend way too much time on it imo and so I try take regular breaks from it during the day, sometimes a whole day… and it feels soooo peaceful ☺️🥰

I have also no notifications on my phone whatsoever nowadays and it only vibrates if I get a call during the day. And at night only a very small number of people can get through for emergency purposes. I know I’m probably a dinosaur 🤣 Mrs

I'd sooner leave one of my arms at home rather than my phone. Id be the same as you Bog, id go back and get it and deal with being late. Its a terrible state of affairs. I try to play guitar more to keep me from endlessly scrolling.

Yes I do. At least 2 or 3 long weekends a year me and a female mate head to an AirBnB farmhouse in the middle of nowhere and just chill out with good food, drinks and we light the fire and just chill out listening to music all weekend. The house is far enough out of the way that there is almost no phone reception nor does it have wifi. Phones get left in the car for the weekend. It does take an hour or two to get over the initial shock of not having it in your pocket but once that's done its so relaxing. Both of us are fanatical about music so we bring a heap of vinyl and CDs and just chill out listening to them all weekend.

No phone means no business.

It's used for incoming orders via calls or emails and to print invoices and despatch labels.

I have family and friends that need to be able to contact me at all times including some in different time zones so it can't be turned off.

I can count on one hand the number of times I've paid for something using my phone rather than a card but even at the weekends when I'm miles from anywhere it is part of the safety equipment I carry.

Would definitely turn around to get it if I forgot it.

I do my very best not to be on my phone when with friends/family and I’m pretty good at that I think but when I’m by myself, I’m a divil for mindless scrolling.

I’ve found BorrowBox helps a bit…while I’m still holding my phone, at least I’m reading rather than scrolling. If I’m reading a physical book, I’m a disaster for picking up my phone every couple of chapters.

Interesting thread.

I think I'd keep going to avoid being late for work, but other than that I'd definitely turn back for it. Depends on if I had anything else planned for the day after work I suppose and if I'd need to make contact with someone as a result. Definitely always put it away if I'm out with friends or family but unfortunately I'm in the 'never has the phone out of her hand' camp when at home in the evenings. Dreadful, but I'm hurting no one! Just numbing my brain little by little! 🫣🙄😂

Its better than having the phone over your face perving fabs finest and you nod off until you drop it onto your face

Occasionally I do head off without my phone and tbh it's the loveliest feeling peacefull day distraction free..

Until an sos party's sent out to locate my last known whereabouts location

or when you arrive home to an hours work replying to messages mail & missed calls

Unfortunately l keep my phones going constantly and it's exhausting. The bane of tech working and self employed. I swim a lot and it's my tech switch off time. Wish l was more disconnected but it's a reality of working for yourself.

I have two

One solely for work and gets switched on when I start and off when I finish. I am religious about this. Work is work and outside of that the time is mine.

I have a second for family and friends but I turn that off going to bed and back on when I feel in the mood in the mornings.

We should never become welded to our phone.

My phone never leaves my side. They've become far too useful. If I want to read a book or watch a series or record my steps ect. I do suggest having a bedtime mode after 10pm or earlier. Limiting the brightness is also pretty helpful. Dark theme is usually better for your eyes.

I am the same when running, I don't bring my phone and its probably the best time of the day for me. Its amazing how refreshed I am afterwards. Have solved many a problem when the phone is not with me

Still have my 088 number

They added a 2 to the front of it and changed it to 087

Have the number since 1991
