LONGEST DISTANCE TO MEET

Loughlinstown

I have a friend who once told me that if she had to travel a little further to meet a guy she'd simply ask herself...

"Is he worth paying the toll for?"

So this gave me an idea here. What's the furthest you ever traveled for a coffee meet or playdate and was it worth it??!

Or what's the furthest anyone's ever traveled to meet you and how did that go? /

You don't need to say counties here btw if you don't want to

Dublin

Not more than 1 hour. And it should be a really good play session for at least 2-3 hours.

It also depends how often. I wouldn’t be driving every day for 50km, but once a week or two is doable

I have driven to Cork which is 3.5 hours away from me but I wouldn't do it just for a meet- it would be tied into something else and a meet organised because I happen to be in that area - i have travelled that far purely to meet up with a group of friends though for an organised social which is different.

I had a girl drive from Cork up to me in South Donegal once.

We had been texting for a few weeks, and it had been building....

When she arrived, I brought her straight upstairs.

Within 5 minutes she came while sitting on my face during 69.

Post-nut clarity hit her instantly, and she decided she couldn't stay.

Straight back to Cork she went....and then I had to finish myself off for my troubles.

Distance brings expectation and not just in the way most mention it where someone drives a long distance and then expects something for their effort.

On the flip side there are people who believe that if you were prepared to travel 3 or 4 hours across the country once there is nothing stopping you from doing it again..... and again.

As a result I have a one hour travel limit unless I'm actually going to be in the area.

I don't like someone to tavel just for potentially a coffee and chat and nothing else. So I would meet people further afield if we happen to be nearby for some reason. I have traveled 90mins for a coffee and I would do that for someone I felt there was a connection with.

I would definitely do that aswell because if you have a connection through conversation you want to try and see when you meet for a coffee or drink it's still there because if you don't you're left wondering what if.

Have travelled all the way to Mullingar twice ( and on another occasion) and very special meets both times

Had a lady fly in from Leeds and a lovely Glaswegian fly over (not on the same night, mind you ) so long distance swinging works

Middle of mayo n peaceful tranquility

No more than a 30 minute drive for us for a social

We Have had guys offering to travel 2/3 hours for a coffee , certainly not interested in socials like that ,I feel that they would be putting the pressure on for more than just a coffee

I've bad coffees offer to drive for just a coffee social but I fo feel they would expect something. So if there's a bit of distance and we getting om well I'd meet halfway or try and arrange something if in that area in the future

Derry & Donegal

Travelling back from wedding in Cork to Donegal, had a very welcome stopover in Carrick on Shannon, was a detour to an already long trip but it was worth it. Amazing mature lady, welcomed me into her apartment for a relaxed and fun afternoon. Better than stopping for a coffee, drive safe
