I made a porn movie a few years ago. Me and two women. It was themed, quite dark. Pro production , cameras and lights. 11 hours of filming, edited to 10 minutes of movie. The final result looked great. However, the shoot was boring, not at all erotic, lots of breaks, makeup and light changes, lens changes,hold that position!... An interesting experience , but wouldn't do it again.

I would always say, it depends on what you are doing with the footage taken, if only shared with the group and those involved then you may not need the release, if you intend to upload then any legitimate source would need a release those those involved, main people identifiable anyway.

Also a mask does not always protect you from the need for a release form.

It's a huge melting pot.

I have signed my share of release forms.
