What's the average waiting time for a new passport to be done? Or is there still a fast track were it could take just few days by paying extra?

I just googled it all the info is there. You can get it in a week if you're prepared to pay for urgent fasttrack. Pricey tho

as far as I know there used to be an office somewhere round the city hall you cud get one while you wait!!or thereabouts few hours give an take

Surely you can renew your passport online!! It's quicker doing it online unless you never had a passport before and you're starting from scratch, then that'll take a few weeks!!

Hey, thank you for the reply, I've checked I think the office is near musgrave police station now ..

I cdnt find my old one .. it's in my apartment somewhere but cant find it though it is well out of date I have checked online and I think fast track is around 2 days though m not sure yet if I'll have difficulty cause I've misplaced mines, yep just seen that it can also be done online .. pist office does the application form as well.

Hey I've just seen that a fast track passport can be done through the government website online, but ice mis placed my old one, which is well out of date now, I'll have to check tomorrow what I've to do .

I had mine back within 2 weeks just recently.

I'd seriously consider an Irish one though. Passport control on a British passport is a bloody nightmare.

I've read earlier theres a surge in passports and czn take up to 6 weeks to get it in ur hand but fast track is either 2 days a week .. need to check tomorrow to make sure.

I was thinking same about getting Irish passport but not sure on how long it takes to get it asap, I will check into it more tomorrow.

Last time I renewed mine, took a selfie and done the online renewal. Didn't pay for any fast track but got it in under 2 weeks.

Yes you can get one the same day if you go to the passport office and wait around at a cost of about £250. But this will only be for expired or damaged replacements not lost as security checks have to be ran again if lost

If your renewing your Irish passport online, it's usually only a few days often within 2-3 days.

New applications, which are done by paper take a few weeks.
