Probably the unsexiest question on Fab. Ever.

I'm spending a few days in Dublin and wondered, Can you tap on and tap off on the LUAS or do I need to buy a ticket before boarding?

Many thanks

Greg

You buy a ticket from the machine at the stop

East Cork

There are scanners at the stops for leap card, tap before you get on, tap off when you get off at next stop. Otherwise use machine to buy tickets

South Dub

If you have a leap card tab on, when you get to your final stop tab off. If you start off in the green line and are changing to the red line, there’s no need to tab off between

Thank you everybody, I'm sorry I have another question, My hotel is in Dublin, but we will be working in Greystones, can I take the LUAS from my hotel to Dublin Connolly Station and then is it a DART or do you have a faster Inter City service to Greystone?

I know!
