How did someone outside of my age range managed to message me?

I know that you can't even wink to someone that has filters put in place, yet I still received multiple messages from someone that was over the age I have set on my profile

I haven't, it was a new profile, and it was gone after 2 days as well🤣 but still it left me scratching my head of how did that person bypassed the age range
