What people think about this is he just playing doom or is he iron man who's risen and now is doom or just another variant from another timeline prob easy explanation lol

God I haven't been on the forum in ages.

I haven't kept up with the comics but I think Marvel is extremely desperate to have a flagship actor or product. I'm happy for him, he's gonna make a fortune but it's a real slap in the face to infinity war.

You could argue why comics became less popular but I think one reason is a character just won't stay dead.

I think going with a different actor would of made more sense and just bring him.part as a evil iron man. I reckon it's just for these 2 movies and a different actor be picked to play doom after the 2 movies

Definitely tarnishes the infinity saga, Marvel has completely lost its way.

Although the latest X-Men cartoon wasn’t bad, brought back plenty of nostalgic memories from its original series.

I’m hoping to grow up someday

It's not just RD coming back. It's the Russo Brothers coming back to make the movies. Can't wait.

Wolverine had a great send off in Logan. That's definitely true but I don't consider the Deadpool movies like anything serious, I haven't watched it but if they haven't taken the piss out of comic characters just coming back, I'll be disappointed

Part of me says no especially considering the reported payday Robert Downey jnr got for it. If they were they wouldn't be paying him that much. Very easy to rewrite the role to be another character.

My theory based on secret wars comic and the comic being in the Deadpool film in the void,if they go for the more recent secret wars comic introducing doom as god of his world in the void which then of course becomes battle planet, because of all the variants and different people already there including mutants you have a reasonable reason to have a good secret wars already in place.

They went from having movies that gross 1 billion to still profitable movies but we aren't filling the seats to see most marvel movies these days. RDJ will provide some star power. Last one I saw I think in cinema was Spiderman no way home.

I reckon he's 59 and his pension advisor has told him he blew too much on drugs and women a few years ago so needs to dump a load of cash into the fund as timelines and pensions don't factor in a multiverse
