"Reiki is good in my opinion, as are some of the others you have mentioned. Also it may be good to see a psychotherapist too, that’s also a good option " Thanks for the reply

"I've recently started doing some yoga and have slowing taking up jogging (still have a long way to go with that). But it has helped me to feel better. Getting a better nights sleep now and feeling more calm. " Thank you

"Acupuncture definitely helped me recover from facial paralysis years ago. Reflexology was relaxing at the time but didn't feel any long term benefits. I haven't tried anything else. " That's amazing!

Takes time and patience to find what works for each person.

"Booked in for Reiki.. Thanks for all the responses " Brilliant, I hope you enjoy it. Kundalini is amazing if there's a practitioner near you. I also enjoy Yin Yoga and soundbaths, playing with different frequencies and vibrations. Meditation has proven to be a huge benefit for me. Guided meditations are a good place to start, one to one, in class or online. Whatever feels comfortable for you. Getting out and about in nature has huge benefits mentally and physically. Go to the woods, beach, park, garden or wherever you find peace. It's starting something, however small. It's all about taking that first step. Good luck. 🪷

"Open to trying something new to find balance and work on some personal issues.. Anyone have positive experiences to share? Likes of reflexology, acupuncture, Chinese medicine, Kundalini, holistic treatments...? " As a holistic massage therapist (I treat the physical body but also the spiritual and emotional wellbeing), I would say it really depends on what the issues are that you want to address. Also, it really is about finding the right alternative therapy and the right practitioner for you, as one may work for one person but not another. In this instance, it really is about the alignment of energy. I have been suffering with hormonal migraines on a monthly basis for the last few years and have tried all sorts to find a way to alleviate those. I have found acupuncture carried out by a Traditional Chinese Medicine therapist in conjunction with a few treatments from an Emmett technique therapist has left me 4 months migraine free!!! My TCM practitioner has also been able to help with other minor medical issues naturally rather than visiting my GP. Breath work, meditation and yoga are very therapeutic. I am starting to work more of that into my lifestyle, as well as more barefoot walking, grounding myself with nature. These are things anyone can do without a big financial outlay (I have discovered the Nike training app, which has all sorts of free workouts, including yoga). With respect to alternative therapies expect to feel a little worse, emotionally and physically initially, before you feel better. And the worse your emotional or physical wellbeing, the more heightened the response as you heal. Personally, my favourite therapies for moving energy as well as the physical aspect, are a Hawaiian massage called Lomi Lomi and Thai Yoga massage.
