Let me say I have tried most things but getting a STI std test was the hardest thing I've ever done but when getting results even do always play safe it's an unbelievable happy feeling people do it even if you think everything is going ok

I also always play safe and regularly test.

I don’t feel it’s the hardest thing to do, for sure it’s a responsible thing to do.

Definitely getting divorced was the hardest decision I have ever made. Probably would have done it earlier but was worried how it might affect the kids. Thankfully we all came through it OK.

So far, choosing between being near my family or moving abroad to be with my "temporarily" long distanced partner when she decided she didn't want to come back home. It's caused a fair bit of pain and lonely moments, but I've already made more memories with my family, and I get to see my neice grow up in person.

Good man spreading the word. Regular testing is a must if you're using this site for its intended purpose! I test every 3 months, more if I'm particularly active, so wouldnt say its the hardest thing I've ever done lol. The free test kits from SH24.ie are a godsend!

Going to uk to pay for hotels and hospitals when my kid was young and receiving a call from home expecting the worse. Think something broke in me over those years.

Divorce.. hard in terms of what it did to my kids, not to me. But staying 'for the sake of the children' would have been far harder and a shitload less smart.

No need to answer this in the forum or privately - Did you do a family constellation? Just wondering as thinking about it

Thanks

I did that too. The relief of submitting that final dissertation! I did it 6 years part time but with that and running a small business the biggest challenge of my life. So well done!

Lots along the same lines as everyone else here- divorce, recognising and walking away from things that were saccharine.

Recognising positive change in my mental health after making hard decisions - counselling.

I’ve yet to start the divorce. Unfortunately I don’t know anyone personally that has experience of this. I keep putting it off for lots of reasons. Mainly I can’t find somewhere affordable to move into yet. Think it would be best to be out of the main family home first before starting this. 2 years left on the mortgage also and I feel if it’s sorted things might be easier also.

I’m like bog man above and what he says. . Can’t talk much about it and I also won. It took over 5 years to win. But I got to watch the old fucker matched away in handcuffs to start his jail sentence. Losted family members over it all even to this day i apparently shamed they family name.

We could set up a club Divorce survivors

But I definitely would consider giving a birth the most difficult thing I’ve ever done. Not sure about smart.

STI test is one of the easiest, but definitely smartest things to do
