Castlebar

Half a naggin of vodka behind a tree before the local disco. Age 14. All I remember is sitting on a radiator singing Come on Eileen and the next morning waking up at my friend's house thinking I was dying.

My brother had a bottle of vodka from his hols and let me have a glass. He went off and I proceeded to enjoy the bottle. I got to enjoy cuddling porcelain for my first hangover and my da nearly murdered my bro after. Haven't been able to stomach vodka and orange since

Alicante Spain, and Cork City Ireland

Mine was a complete accident. I was at a family party. I played football with my n the grass like any self respecting 13 year old.....

I was really thirsty. So I drank 3 large glasses of slightly turned apple juice really quickly. Turns out it wasn't apple juice so much as strong homemade Cider.

I still remember being sick.

somewhere

Bulmers cider in a field at the age of 14

Big gang of us

Guards came in on motorbikes and rounded us all up

Made us sit in a chain circle and pour your flagon over the bloke in front while the bloke behind poured his over you

We were all soaked in cider

Guards laughing their heads off and told us to go home to out mammies smelling of cider

We all jumped in the river and swam in our clothes

Went home and told my parents I fell into the river off a swing

Got into trouble but not as much as drinking at 14

Wow.....

One of the best stories ever on fab.

Also appropriate that you used the "swing" excuse.

Jeez ya that takes me back .. Perno and black !! And of course the obligatory flagging of cider … normally ended up puking lot back up before heading to a chipper to refuel before heading home trying to act sober great times though

That place in

Seeking a gin and tonic at a family party and my dad wanted a sip as he wanted to taste the tonic as he never tried it before and the man was a pioneer, I felt so guilty

But the night in Spain at a show with the cheap wine, bbq and spainish dancing, my parents were nice to me the next morning

1st I really got d*unk and it would be in front of the folks

Somewhere near

My Grandad used to give me a Coke with a Guinness head, packet of taytos and thin bar of dairy milk, so he could have one more after I was sent to collect him on a Sunday afternoon, great memories for a 7yr old

First proper drink would have been a tin of Bulmers when I was 12, we swiped them from a friend's house on st. Stephens day when the folks were out on the wren.

When we were 13 or 14, we would help local farmer bring in bales . We would get a great breakfast and in the afternoon they would bring out sandwiches and six packs of Guinness. I thought it was awful but drank it anyway trying to look the man.

Wicklow

My dad brought me to Guiness's brewery for the tour. We got as far as the sampling bar. The rest of the tour moved on and me and my dad and uncle stayed on. I had a glass of Guinness, tasted horrible, but tried to drink it slowly like the men. "Don't tell your ma".
