West Dublin

I stupidly got rid of my entire vinyl collection yearsago when I changed house. For a pittance. Would need a mortgage now to replace them with the price of vinyl.

south side ,

If you like proper music listen to tubular bells ,it has a picture of a timble on the front cover ,you need a good sound system to really appreciate the pureist of sounds

Hard to pick just one.

Got a wall full of them and a pair of 1210s.

At a guess, Bongo band - Apache and/or Kraftwerk -Tour De France

Jesus lads, I have stuff back as far as the early 60s that I got from my father, my clan were in the nightclub business in 70s,80s and 90s and we still have all the vinyl from then.

Right now this minute 3 that id pick

Beatles Sgt Peppers

Led Zeppelin 1V

Beta Band 3EPs

In 5 mins I'll have a different 3

You can't beat that Zepplin 3 intro though. Hearing the hiss of the needle grow louder intil Immigrant Song kicks in.

ELO - Out of the Blue is a great double vinyl. 4 sides, each one moving through a different season.

It's like asking me to pick a favourite child. They're all my babies

I was listening to Moby-Play last night, it aged ok, and Jalen Ngonda-Come Around And Love Me which has a summery Marvin Gaye vibe.

First vinyl bought The Doors-The Doors.

The Boatman"s Call is very special to me.. so if it's one, that would be it.

Still have every piece of vinyl I ever bought going back to the late 70s but my favourite is an original copy of GI Blues bought by my granda in 1960 to test the record players he was repairing.

That link is what makes it special.

I no longer have a working Vinyl player. I do, however have a few old Vinyl tucked away since the 80's.

Chief of which would be Live, Bob Marley and the Wailers.

I don't have this one, but The Wall. I wonder do new presses have the original secret message when played backwards?
