So how do you make yours? In the cup or pot? Tea bag or tea leaves? best brand? bag in or out? stir it? squeeze it? sugar? Sweetener? Milk? Which one? simple drink but let the fun commence

Boil the kettle, heat the cup with boiled water. Teabag in and fill with water. Leave to brew for a few minutes, stir and squeeze the teabag before removing, then add milk. My mother always makes it in a teapot with leaves and it brews on the range for about 10 minutes before pouring. It's nicer than teabags.

The absolute best is loose leaf. I bring both black and red Barry's back to Spain every time I return from Cork.

If I had to choose between never having tea or coffee again, tea bags would be a coin toss, but loose leaf tea would be my first choice to keep every single time.

If it’s just for me then it’s a Barry’s tea bag in a mug of boiling water. Squeeze tea bag to the right taste then discard. Then a drop of milk. If I’m making it for multiple people then I’d use a tea pot with loose leaf tea. The diffuser pots are a game changer, never again run the risk of getting a mouthful of tea leafs when you take the last swig from the cup.

In a pan, boil water with a crushed pod of cardamom and grated fresh ginger. Add loose tea leaves ( Assam preferably no specific brand). Add milk , bring to boil, let it simmer for about 5 mins , strain it into a cup piping hot with a teaspoon of honey !

Cut up a bit of ginger into a pot, add a few slices of lemons and a teaspoon of cloves. Simmer for 5-10 minutes. Strain and Bob's your uncle

Loose leaf Barry's Red, untreated well water, scald the teapot, let it brew for at least 5 minutes preferably longer, drank from a mug with about a teaspoon of milk , and the hot drop is always nicer.

Lidl or Aldi all the way.. none of your Barrys or Lyons malarkey.

I mostly drink decaf tea at home.

As a professional tea-drinker, the cost of it when out irks me no end. And I'm not easily irked. (That last bit may or may not be a lie..)

Warming the cup and then using the same now cooled water makes the warming of the cup redundant.

If you threw out the warming water and used freshly heated water you'd be making perfect sense.

Warming the cup and then using the same now cooled water makes the warming of the cup redundant.

If you threw out the warming water and used freshly heated water you'd be making perfect sense. "

That's what I mean boil the kettle then get your mug and pour some boiling water in to heat your mug. Then make your tea straight afterwards.
