Boil the kettle, heat the cup with boiled water. Teabag in and fill with water. Leave to brew for a few minutes, stir and squeeze the teabag before removing, then add milk. My mother always makes it in a teapot with leaves and it brews on the range for about 10 minutes before pouring. It's nicer than teabags.

Large mug, Gold Label Tea Bag, left in. No milk no sugar. Easiest cup of tea you'll ever make.

The absolute best is loose leaf. I bring both black and red Barry's back to Spain every time I return from Cork.

If I had to choose between never having tea or coffee again, tea bags would be a coin toss, but loose leaf tea would be my first choice to keep every single time.

Long live teapots and tea drinkers

If it’s just for me then it’s a Barry’s tea bag in a mug of boiling water. Squeeze tea bag to the right taste then discard. Then a drop of milk. If I’m making it for multiple people then I’d use a tea pot with loose leaf tea. The diffuser pots are a game changer, never again run the risk of getting a mouthful of tea leafs when you take the last swig from the cup.

"Lyons, drop of milk and nothing else "

I'm surprised that's allowed in Cork or is it a private pleasure

I love my cuppa tea. Black Barry's or Clipper for me, and not too strong, don't squeeze it!

A sprig of mint to make it Moroccan occasionally.

Always in a teapot, loose leaf is undoubtedly best but usually use Black Barrys teabags then milk no sugar.

Loose leaf Barry's Red, untreated well water, scald the teapot, let it brew for at least 5 minutes preferably longer, drank from a mug with about a teaspoon of milk , and the hot drop is always nicer.

Lidl or Aldi all the way.. none of your Barrys or Lyons malarkey.

I mostly drink decaf tea at home.

As a professional tea-drinker, the cost of it when out irks me no end. And I'm not easily irked. (That last bit may or may not be a lie..)

Haven't seen anyone say the most important thing yet!

Firstly warm the cup/mug up then you put in the BARRY'S tea bag and let it soak add a drop of milk = perfection ??

Warming the cup and then using the same now cooled water makes the warming of the cup redundant.

If you threw out the warming water and used freshly heated water you'd be making perfect sense.

That's what I mean boil the kettle then get your mug and pour some boiling water in to heat your mug. Then make your tea straight afterwards.
