I’ve work in the industry… have seen the great, good and less than ideal…

It’s all relative to what your friend seeks, if money no object, get a suite at any of the following: city stay - The Merrion for service and class. Resort - The Europe for location and service. Country House - Ballyfinn Demense for comfort, food and chill.

There are a huge number of great hotels, Ireland truly does have an outstanding selection. It can get pricey… but you get what you pay for ideally.

Dean Cork is solid… rooms a little small at entry level.

The House Belfast has a lift in the basement where the bar toilets are (so easy to access), which you can take to bypass reception on ground floor, up to other floors and no key card needed for the lift.

Powerscourts hotel is a great hotel. The last time I was there the service was terrible otherwise it is a fabulous hotel facilities wise.

Parknasilla hotel another great hotel, great walks around ground, food and facilities excellent. They only have one lift and it broke the last time I was there

The Europe is really good. Great service, beautiful location.

One thing I hate is hotels that don't bother to help train their staff. You get some young lad just clocking hours, not their fault at all. It's always a sign of a badly run, money grabbing hotel, whose owners are mot really hoteliers

Oooo someone mentioned Sherbourne. I was at a society wedding there. I didn't know half the people there but I have a picture somewhere of a very red-nosed Richard Bruton

I also liked the Gresham for tea, the Radisson in Stillorgan? I think? And we stayed at this gorgeous little place in Killaloe.

My friend has decided to stay at Trinity College BUT she's organised a trip to Skelligmichael. She's a rich single mom travelling with her youngest. I think she'll have a blast in June. I warned her to pack for weather and layer it up.

Oh I also loved this one hotel a German guy I met on Tinder stayed at somewhere in Dun Laoghaire. I forget the name. We met in town, ate and drank, traded funny stories then took the DART back. Fantastic sex and great hotel.

Worst hotels I've ever been to are in CityWest and Palmerstown. Yuck.

I did have a brief lunch at a sophisticated Docklands hotel back in 2016 but no sex.

Until a year later at my place. He's a legend and is hilarious and has an even bigger sexual appetite than me.

And a snappy dresser too.

So yeah... Good meets and bad. Hotels are the best but it really depends on what you're looking for. If I want a quick shag it'll be an AirBnB or something.

If it's a sex marathon then it's worth getting a nice place... preferably with a swimming pool and spa like the one in Cork.

The Cliff House in Waterford, best by far. Second Monart, their grounds bored me but enjoyed the spa and pool. Third- Powerscourt. Enjoyed the afternoon tea actually, but dinner let them down. Milly x

Think the lyrath could do more with the old house part it's a fantastic building yet most of the hotel feels like you are in a massive industrial unit or haybarn. The rooms are lovely it's just the public areas are just to open for our liking. Most hotels blend the old and the new quiet well think they missed a big chance to do that here.

The best food I've eaten in was The Bishop's Gate Hotel in Londonderry/Derry. Nice old style hotel and lovely staff. The dinner and breakfast were the best I've eaten in a hotel. What I got to eat in the bedroom wasn't bad either

Harveys point Donegal 6 stars, Its expensive but we have all worked hard and need rewards , Reasonable to eat there as well and rooms are as big as some One bedroom apartments
