I have read a good few verifications where it says something along the line of:

"If you get a chance to meet her treat her with respect"

Right so, aren't we supposed to treat everyone with respect? I mean, it's bad if someone needs to be told to respect others.

I wonder if those who write this type of things only do it to say: Hey ladies, look at me, im mr nice guy, not a prick here so it's safe to meet me.

I don't know, sometimes i read this as: "i thought she'd be a 10 but she was a 2 but treat the poor girl with respect because she is not what you expect"

Bottom line, I feel like if you write this on a veri then you're most likely a bit of a prick.

Maybe im reading too much into it :D

So I maybe a 2....but even on here... there is more to some people than just judging people by looks...and some people actually do care about respect and acting honestly and honorably, so my ones mean it in a protective way.

I have made friends on here and for me this is definitely not all about sex.

I also do not judge anyone by their looks and those who know me know that personality is what matters to me. I mentioned the 2 and 10 as it feels like some who write about respect actually think like this. It could be just the ones i read that come across like this.

My point is, no one should need to be told to treat others with respect as it goes without saying.

I approach every social/meetup with the attitude that I'm going to treat the person with the utmost disrespect, I mean absolute shit on my shoe. Then just beforehand, those 4 words just magically appear in my head - "treat her with respect".

Don't read too much into it. If someone states that in a verification its cause they feel that that person is a genuine and real person and worthy of respect. Your not obliged to write a verification but if you do that very act is a expression of respect. When I write a verification its an expression of of both respect for that person and an endorsement of their person . You sadly don't get one in return but if you feel that person deserves respect and recognition, express it regardless. If they don't want to publish it or return one still doesn't detract from the fact the expression of respect for all should be universal
