I do one first. I don't always expect one if it's just a social meet. But we don't do them for repeat play meets unless someone wants one.

I rarely meet anymore but in the past sometimes I've left them first on the odd occasion the person or persons haven't sent one back but it has never bothered me.

If someone I met veried me I would veri them back.

I've left quite a few verifications that weren't returned, often by people who claim they don't write verifications at all but have done numerous times.

I just mark it down to them not wanting anyone to know they had met me so that's their issue not mine.

As someone who recently got back on Fab, I’ve reached out to old meets for them. But after I get 5 or so I don’t really care if I get them or not.

On a side note, I did notice some fake profiles on here with quite a few verifications. Wonder how that happens?

Have found this a lot particularly with giving a first veri to someone..I wait a week and then block..doesn't cancel the verification but it can't be shown..pet hate of mine too..

I always make it a point to verify after a date, but it's rare to get the same courtesy in return. Honestly, it feels like some folks are just not using this site the right way. I'm starting to see why some people just vanish from here. I've got way more romantic connections in my real life than I've ever had through this site.

Well that just is absolutely shit of Him. Good enough to be with, but not good enough for a veri? How can that not hurt and how inconsiderate esp after spending all that time with someone. Ugly on the inside.

For me, if someone veries me, I try to veri them back, but i wont veri first lol

Sometimes people don't expect you to want one back, unless you ask.

Sometimes we get personal messages instead of veries, which are better for us personally, as it is more intimate.

You only met him last night? Maybe he just hasn’t gotten around to writing it. Maybe he doesn’t do veris after a social, only a play meet. Maybe he just isn’t great at writing them.

I really wouldn’t read too much into it. If you liked him and thought you’d want to meet again, before the whole question of a veri started, why wouldn’t you just meet him again?

Some people think veris are important and others, not so much. It's like anything in life and it's why I stopped trying to read people by their actions a long time ago.

At this stage for us, veris are a PITA but it doesn't mean that we didn't like them. We'll always do one for the first play meet but not necessarily for a social. Don't overthink it and just have fun

I wouldn’t write a verification after a social unless I was asked or to return the compliment. Social verifications indicate the person showed up, can manage to transfer liquid from a cup to their own mouth and didn’t give off stalker vibes!

A wise woman of fab told me it’s the profile with second and third verification from the same profile she looks for, as that is a better indicator of someone. Most people are on their best behaviour on the the first meet.

I've never though to ask someone, did they want a verio, nor have I asked them to give me 1 either(must MAKE a mental note of it, for the future). Mine are from socials. So some have verioed me first, other's I verioed first. If I get 1, I always give 1 bad. I'm not great at them, out of respect & fair is fair to give 1 bad, weather they ask for it or even need it(In my book, so to speak). I did give a verio, didn't get 1 bad, wasn't happy about it at first. NOW, can't be arsed about it.

It's happened to us more than a few times where new profiles (say single profiles where we know them already as part of a couple) would ask for a first veri, but they don't return one.

I do think it's good manners to return one when someone has done you a favour. But it's no biggie.
