1. Please take off your socks, especially black ones

2. Don’t put toilet on a background

3. Choose one colour tight boxers, preferably white

4. Clean a mess from your background

5. Make sure you have a good source of light

6. Google! Just google how others do it. Get some inspiration.

7. Do not put on fab 100 photos of your willy, you have torso, bum, legs…

8. Please make new photos every year. We are not blind, we will notice if you don’t have six pack anymore

I just see it as a good filter. It's not hard to take a halfway decent pic if someone actually wants to. But like I said no matter what you do you won't please everyone.

I just see it as a good filter. It's not hard to take a halfway decent pic if someone actually wants to. But like I said no matter what you do you won't please everyone.

I think the secret to taking a good pic is less about following rules about what should be in the pic and more about taking multiple pics at once so that you can pick the best one. And crop the picture so that you get rid of the distracting background etc.

If you’re taking a pic in the mirror, crop it in so we can actually see you. The amount of guys who have been shocked when I’ve done this to show them the difference it makes! Take 2 mins to edit your pic and it’ll stand to you.

The quality of men’s photos are very much on a par with the photos of women or couples.

Some people put a lot of effort in and some don’t and as Bo said, I use this as a filter in its own right.

My photos are not very well planned, I might get an idea, I’ll take a few shots. Do a little editing and then post them. Again some work and some don’t. But what they all have in common is that I usually get a giggle out of them.

I've never spent more than 5 minutes on a pic including editing.

I get an idea, take a couple of pics and then adjust the lighting and I'm done.

I don't take pics based on what others might like. They are almost always based on what I like with the odd photo challenge.

I think I take a half decent photo. I have a look to see if it’s better in colour or black and white and stick it up. It’s up to others what they make of it. While it advertises what I’m about, it’s only part of the profile and should be used in conjunction with the bio, I think anyway.

The way I look at a profiles photos on here is to gauge what effort someone is willing to put in. Same with their overall profile, bio etc. If they couldn't be bothered to put effort into their profile, generally not going to put effort in elsewhere. Found this to be true in my experiences on the scene. You get out of something what you put into it. Use your profile to advertise your best self. Great suggestions in your post OP. It's not rigid, a lot to do with perspective too, but great base guidelines.

All you need to take a photo is 3 things

Mirror/Stand (depending if you like mirror style or selfie style)

A phone

Confidence

These 3 can have so many interesting combinations that can make anybody look great. All bodies can be captured well this way.

Many thanks for the advice Sunflower, each to their own. I'm happy with my photos that are up but I do have a positive outlook on life.

If you think my photos need an uplift, I'm willing to call over to yours so you can show me in person how to take a good photo.
