Which do you love, which do you dislike?

I spent a domestic (well... mostly

) day yesterday and can confirm that I would happily mop any surface in sight all day long but I absolutely cannot be fucked with folding fitted sheets. The YouTube videos do nothing. My mother's wisdom does nothing.

Folding fitted sheets sucks!

I like tasks with instant gratification like wiping surfaces clean, sweeping and even ironing the odd shirt.

Today is my fun day of tidying - mainly just moving stuff to its normal location. Some.steam cleaning of floors maybe?

Will NOT iron except in extreme circumstances!

Will avoid washing up until critical mass buildup, but Mr has a lower threshold!

I find cleaning disgusting teenage boy bathroom strangly satisfying, although hasmat suit and breathing apparatus is required.

I'll fold normal sheets but those fitted ones will have to live with being fucked in a press.....no matter how many YouTube videos I watch.

Ive had this conversation with people in chats groups

How the hell can you not have an iron in your house

The amount of people that don't have one is incredible

Everything gets ironed ( by me ) in my house except jocks and socks

Towels,tea towels,sheets,duvet covers,

How could you wear a crisp white shirt and tie without it being ironed or a pair of jeans

Weirdo's

What crazy person irons jeans?

Shirt I get - so I'd iron one for a funeral or wedding.

Let's not go chore shaming now. Everyone needs a hobby and fab is chore inclusive.

Real question is does Bog do a call out service...

I'd never dream of ironing sheets but they are soooo comfy that first night.

I can't think of a single household chore I enjoy, the clue is in the word "chore". I'll cook anytime before doing other domestic tasks.

The only time I liked ironing was when I was meant to be studying for my finals

Hold the press, I can confirm I have only one shirt I iron and that's because the fabric is too light to drip-dry straight on a hanger. No spin-cycle, hang them up and the weight of the fabric will usually dry them straight. That's unless you're going for starchy crisp

I think I have 5 different white shirts and I only iron one. That might be my reputation ruined

On which note: starching and ironing collars. No thanks, this is not the 1800s

It is all about the hanging up - if you don't fuck everything out of the washing machine into a basket and hang it straight up you will get very little creases. Plus I would iron in more creases that were there to start!

Nah, ironing only happens when I'm heading out and am throwing a shirt on that's creased. Once every maybe 2-3 months. I could not be having ironing as a regular thing.

Power washing is pure therapy and lots of fun.

I'll happily vacuum the house, thankfully as it's usually necessary once a day.

Window cleaning... I know some people do it but we just stick with our canine window art

Was sick of folding clothes and then pulling them out of drawer only to find them creased a little if stacked any more that 2 items high. Removed loads of old clothes that don’t fit etc. Made cabinets with 2 rows built in- one at ceiling height other at hip height and clothes are fkd on hangers and done- no more creases, no more looking for items they all in your face. Now I like doing that task. Fast and simple.

2 dishwashers- one is for dirty items, other is for clean items - no longer have to empty dishwasher just take items as needed. Machine 1 will be on today, machine 2 will be on tomorrow so no smells. Keep doors open or steel items will start to rust.

Had one of those robot hoovers- useless, hopefully they get stronger suction. Don’t mind hoovering it’s cardio when beats are blasting out of speaker
