It depends on what your sense of reality is to start with.

For many people of all ages, what happens on social media and reality TV is their reality and they think anyone who isn't invested in either is strange or unusual.

We have threads running in these forums every day about TV shows that are very popular but to me are all inane rubbish.

The same is true for many social media topics and influencers.
