The West

It wont really matter. Of the billions of us alive at the moment, only a handful will leave a mark.

How much do you know about your father's grandfather?

A little? Nothing?

Your grandchildrens children will be just the same. They'll know little of you, only today's technology and data storage might help a bit!

So just live your best, and be happy! (sorry for being so dark

)

Far far away

Had this conversation tonight after watching. One word that represents your legacy to the world.

'Hope' was mine... Without hope you are lost.

Thats probably the best we can do, leave a little more than you received, leave hope for the future.

Sometimes we need to remind ourselves how good we have it compared to our parents, grandparents or great-grandparents.

Co. Cork

My 4 times great-grandfather moved from Co. Clare to Co. Cork, (obviously a very wise man), in the 1690's. His descendants are now scattered across the world so he left a mark that still exists today.

I hope I will have 4 times great-grandkids to carry on the tradition and leave their individual mark as we all do.

I have no interest in a legacy, beyond my children remembering me with love

My kids. That is all. I've no desire to have some kind of legacy once I'm gone.

Hardship.. I’ve my apprenticeship done in it, I’ll be a master on it by old age , and then I’ll make sure it’s passed to the next generation.. the Key is to have big stick and to start them young enough that they’ll pick stones all day rather than get a shelp.. #parenting

As a wise man once said life is transient. We touch people's lives in ways we may never know. We can do something that a stranger remembers forever that we don't even realise. To be gracious in attitude and life I believe is very important. Cause no harm intentionally and live and let live. This world often remembers the ones who do the most harm to others more than the good people.

I just hope I do a good job raising my kids

When I’m gone the only thing that will be important to me is the hope that I was was a good mum and that there was plenty of laughter and fun

Both grandfathers left a physical legacy that can be seen by others every day of the week so I'm very proud of that.

Personally I prefer the impact I have on others in the here and now rather than give much thought to the future.

One of my grandparents was an architect, he left a big enough mark in the world that he'll be remembered for a long time. But he wasn't a family man i have no happy memories of him, he was always working.

Me, I only want to be remembered fondly by my children and friends. I don't care about leaving a big legacy. Here and now is what's important to me.
