Noisy yolks, foxes love boring under fence to get them.

Yes! We have a few out back. We love them. The neighbours think we are crazy as we are always crawling through hedges making cluck cluck noises trying to find missing ones. They have surprisingly diverse personalities once you get to know them. Also fresh eggs every day!

I'd you are considering them then PLEASE get rescue hens. We got ours through little hill animal rescue and the poor things had nearly no feathers when they arrived, but are now in beautiful condition.

We have 11 chickens and one very proud (and horny) rooster. Fresh eggs and lots of entertainment wouldn't go back to not having them love my girls

"Always wanted to,, are they much bother ....."

Currently I don't but I have under various circumstances.

I have kept them in city gardens, and in large country gardens.

The difference between how many s big but even a balcony garden is manageable.

5 hens laying regularly will provide more eggs then an average family needs and you will be giving them away or baking more then looking up fab.

The two I kept on a balcony worked well but keeping them clean required more then keeping five in a small city garden.

I am in to permaculture etc have lots of energy for these kind of things so it was no problem for me.

Really it depends on where you have to keep them and for what purposes you want them.

For gardens they can be used to clean bugs, make compost etc....but getting the set up right so they don't smell is important.

If you want to know more pm me.

I love this shit.

Jameson main bar

Christ on a bike I've 2 dogs and 2 cats. The cats bring back vermin and then the dogs want to eat them. Besides that lil issue with all the hair that comes off the animals I reckon I could knit myself a jumper
