Id imagine you could look up family planning in Mayo and give them a ring

No need to pay to go to your doctor to get a recommendation anywhere else

Think its about €500 from what someone wrote on a thread once

I had it done about four years ago in Dublin. An ex convinced me, she went with me to a small clinic off the St Stephens Green, less than twenty minutes after the consultation I walked out all done. A keyhole cut and no after effects... Only advice was have a few wanks after five days .....lol. Cost 500 euro. Painless

Like a few said. Into GP and he sent me on via HSE. Had to meet first to fill in a few questions like age, kids, is your wife making you get this done and so on. 2 weeks later was in and out I think within an hour. Keep yourself washed a few times a day down there and no wanking for a few day. Remember the next 20-30 shots in you are still live shot. They should give you a few jars to wank of into for you to get tested. I’d a friend had a go at himself within a day or two and did himself harm and he got an infection because the fool couldn’t keep himself clean.

Had it done years ago , had the mad notion that when i came there would be hardly any cum

...pain-free mostly but walked like John Wayne and spoke like David Beckham for a few days

...also had to wear budgie smugglers for a few days to stop the bells ringing ...enjoy , I'd say its a tad less painful than having a baby

Dad had it done Arklow.

He paid sub €400 and was in and out in less than 30minutes.

I know some guys who have gone GP route and are still waiting for appointments 2 years later. Dad didn't wait a quarter of that. I think it was 3 months from referral to done

Place in Athenry so not too far from you op. €3/400 I think 6/7 years back. Perfect job, never looked back. Only slight dilemma (or more like an added bonus), was what seemed like a strategically placed really hot receptionist there, could cause one a little confusion given the procedure….. lol.. but no, a great job overall, with just slight tenderness for day or two. No regrets,

The doctor in Athenry is John McCormick, Vasectomy Ireland.

Based out of the Molesworth Clinic. He dies clinics in Galway and Cork too.

Was €350 a few years ago, about €280 after tax back

He's north of €500 now!

Got mine done about 15 years ago. Also got circumcised at the same time. Two operations for the price of one which was £0 as it was arranged via my doctor on the nhs. Recovery was a little longer but have no complaints.

AFAIK it’s not currently covered by the HSE or the waiting list is years according to my GP so private is the only route. GP will refer you to a urologist.

Just want to post that it's now free as a mens health push by the HSE. Your doctor will refer you, I was only waiting a few weeks and just missed out on a cancellation that same week.

Check with GP first before paying for it, they are all done in the same clinics.

It's so quick and simple, in an dout in minutes. Its practically painless except for a little bit of swelling for a few days.

Considering procedures women go through regularly, it's a bit embarrassing to create any fuss around a vasectomy!
