In my experience seems to be a marmite situation, a lot like it, a lot don't. Personally nothing as soothing as someone laying their head on my chest and playing with the hair as she falls asleep after a fun time.

I've a hairy chest, I wouldn't shave it off for anybody. Wouldn't say no to having a woman rest her head on it & running her hand through it.

Sadly can't prevent the hair on my head from going, even if I wanted too.
