Like to sleep?

I love a good spoon, who doesn't but I like to sleep flat on my back, arms by my sides or on my belly.

My husband says it's creepy

So how do you like to sleep?

I sleep on my right side on the right side of the bed facing the room. If I sleep on my left side I end up waking suddenly with a choking feeling.

Same as that, on my back flat or on my belly with one arm under pillow.

Preferably on my back, its my default position that I naturally go to once asleep anyway.

The problem is, Mrs. is a very light sleeper and "apparently" I breath too loud when on my back! So I regularly receive a swift elbow, with instructions to change position!

I start on my left side with my arm under my head and stretched out into the corner and my leg stretched into the opposite corner so I'm lying completely diagonally across the bed

At some point I'll roll over onto my right side and sleep on the edge of the bed which I learned as my rightful place when I was still sharing a bed with kiddo and their mom.

I read online a few years ago about a couple who chose what side of the bed they slept on by being the first one to bed

They switched around most nights

Thought that was a bit weird ...anyone else the same

I sleep on my right and side and in the left side of the bed. Room has to be dark and quiet. And once I’m not feeling stressed I’m out like a light within seconds.

I'm sleeping on the left side - non-negotiable

Like BogM I only use a side of the bed though the whole thing is all mine. On my left side all curled up, so I guess I only really use a quarter of the bed.

Then I rotate like a pig on a spit throughout the night - side, front, other side but never on my back that's not natural

That's incomprehensible to me! what about all the personal stuff that's on 'your side of the bed' like the perfect pillow, own books, creams, meds, etc etc.

One of the best things about coming home after being away for a few days is being able to sleep in your own bed, your own pillow, your own mattress depression

Very badly at the moment due to a left shoulder injury, which is my preferred side to sleep on.

But after many years of sleeping in different hotel rooms while travelling for work I normally sleep easily in any bed.

Makes things easy for someone with an active lifestyle....

Always in the left side of the bed, start on my left side then move on to my front and move my feet out the side and on top of the duvet.

If Mr sleeps on his back which he is prone to do I will dig him in the side until he rolls over on to his right....And spooning? No thanks. Dont touch me when im sleeping. Such a romantic couple we are.

Technically, I sleep on the right side of our bed and he sleeps at the very edge of the left side (by choice I'd like to add). Unless our smaller dog joins us.

As for position it could be everything except on the belly. If I do have space it'll be on my back with one leg stretched out and the other pulled up like in a tree pose. No idea why but I find that the most comfortable position ever.

Left side of the bed on the edge, start on my right side, switch to my left before I fall asleep and then switch to either side and belly during the night. All while having random chats with the voices in my head

In beds other than my own, it doesn’t really bother me if I sleep on the left or right, I just don’t like being beside the wall, if there is one (that’s where the spiders crawl up )

I like to fall asleep on my back cause its more comfortably and I feel I get a better night's sleep that way. If I wake up in the early hours to use the bathroom or whatever I like to get back in to the warm and snuggly bed, hug the shit of it my pillow face down and fall back asleep. I find if I'm tossing and turning because of a strange hotel bed it's either too hot or im on the wrong side of the bed to the door. I like to sleep on the side of the bed that's closest to the door. Is that strange ?
