Smokers /Non smokers

Hi all , just wondering if people who smoke, put non smokers in profile as we've been reluctant to message or wink cpls who put " won't meet smokers " . However sometimes we'll see a profile that we really like so will wink or message only to find they will meet smokers or smoke themselves on nights out etc ...

We think honesty is very important. If message someone who says they're 45, then when you swap pics it's more like 55+, we never meet. It doesn't bother us meeting smokers, but if someones profile said non smokers, and they smelled like an ash tray, we would not be impressed.

I will meet smokers who don’t smoke around me basically but a lot have non smoker and do actually smoke I’ve found on here

No I'm saying we're surprised they will meet smokers having stated on profile they won't.

That's the way I read it initially too, but I get their point now.

We wouldn't have any big issue meeting smokers, lots of people enjoy a smoke when they are out. But, and it's a big but. If you're a heavy smoker or if you were smoking around us, it would be a turn off, yes!

That makes more sense. Was just wondering if it was a thing that people wouldn't meet people who met smokers as that was new on me!

As a non smoker I wouldn't meet someone who smokes as I know I wouldn't like to kiss them etc.

If a 'non smoker' turned up smelling of cigarettes it wouldn't go any further.

Kissing someone who smokes, on a night when I don't (w@ed & cigars)can be a little bit different, but normally it adds to the sensation of a tongue in my mouth, another flavour if you wish, but smoke doesn't turn me off. Scotch whisky is basically Irish whiskey that smoked .

In the spirit of the post, no , I hold no such value or disgust against it; one way or the other, but also know, I will put out on the first date.

I am a non smoker and I don't let smoking habits get in the way of things. Most smokers are aware that their breath smells and take measures. I don't mind the faint smell either. I think it comes down to respect. Respect goes both ways. We can all make allowances up to a point.
