Far far away

Bet that got your attention.

Who misses the slow set?, the shift and drift.

When did you last do a slow set..

Does it exist anymore.

Your right. I was out last weekend and a friend said to me - there’s no slow sets or the national anthem being played at end anymore.

God that takes me back. You'd be shifting the face off them. Then the light's would come on to serve the obligatory chicken curry and rice to abide by the licensing laws! That total ride was never as good looking when the light's came on

Most socials have a slow set so over the last 2 years Ive shared a few slow songs

Sometimes Id be driving in the car and something would come on the radio especially on Q102 late at night that transports you back

How deep is your love

2 out of 3 aint bad

And then the Queen of the power ballad.....Whitney....she had some songs

Toni Braxton - You're Making Me High was a brilliant choon for the slow set as it gave you an excuse to introduce a touch more "rhythm" to the slow dancing

Happy Navan memories

So did women always feel the pressure during the erection section? Like was it every time? Sometimes or the odd time?

Ahhh - the erection section. They were the days. We had election section part 1 and part 2. Customery lap around the outside of the dance floor trying not to look too desperate hoping to make eye contact with a girl and get a slow dance.

Am I right in thinking that dance music and ecstacy in the nightclubs killed the slow sets?

Oh christ yeah and a tent still bobbling away in your jeans . Looking back now though , it must have been v uncomfortable for the ladies watching a guy walking across the floor with one hand in his pocket trying to hide the impending erection from her

I often wondered what they thought when they could feel it up against their thigh if you got the dance

Ladies ...did ye take it as a compliment

"What’s a slow set? "

Have to say I actually feel sorry for ye young folk today, as there's apparently no slow set in the nite clubs now.

Do ye just launch into each other after a chat or what's the etiquette?

I'm genuinely curious how it works for under 30's like yourself today.

Do tell
