Watch out for a scam of some of the apps. A girl gives out her number then asks to cam. She recorded me wanking then tried to extract money from me. I told her I don’t give a fuck and my cock is all over the internet! A more naive person might have fallen for it. She tried to swindle me out of money. Watch out for it!

There are quite a few big mistakes that someone needs to make to allow someone to be successful in this kind of attack.

They need to know your real name

They need to have video of your face as well as your rude bits

They need to be able to find you on social media which shares your friends names

Or

You need to have shared your contacts with them

Many of these are simple precautions that will make this kind of attack useless.

Just to clarify my post wasn't intended to blame the victim, more to remind that taking simple steps to avoid leaking personal information online will avoid these attacks completely

This is 100% correct, I was foolish and naive. But was luck that I’m not ashamed of sex or my body. Just know that the scammer did nothing in the end! It’s more vulnerable people that I fear for!

Most of the ones who are scamming people like this are from foreign countries, so they will never be found nor prosecuted when it comes to law.

Only thing worth mentioning - please do speak to your teenage children about these kinds of scams. They are always online, they use social media, they are the most open and vulnerable group of people to these kinds of scams.

Spoke to my kids when the teenager in Antrim I think took his own life because of the shame and fear he felt...God love him

We have been sent friend requests and then face pictures of a happy couple often at a wedding or Christmas party. I was suspicious and didn't engage so deleted them. We're always suspicious or new profiles wanting to meet up in carparks in some rural area for "fun"

Always always trust your gut feeling about a profile on here

(Will travel to surrounding counties)

Never supply a face pic online, it could become the face of the next online scam.

It is bad enough that we are all captured on multiple public cameras, the minute you leave your house.

With AI, deep fakes are easy to create, even without an IT background.

If someone really wants to hack your life, they will. You just have to take a few simple precautions, so a hacker will just move on to an easier target.

I've gotten emails telling me that apparently... Moi watches porn have been playing with myself and the camera on my computer has been recording all the while. What makes this most impressive is that my camera has been covered by a black sticker since the day I bought it

Anyway I told them to go post all my vids on Xh@mster or OnlyF@nnys and give me 20% of any money made. So, either they're robbing b@astards or no one's watching my vids.

Life can be so so cruel

Anyone had a call from a withheld number accusing of messaging someone under age? I managed to reveal the number and it’s not a recognised number. I can only think I’ve given out my number on here. He never once threatened me with the police, i actually asked him to get in touch with them, I have nothing to hide
