Is the Ireland chat room dead?

Just as the title asks, is it time we put the chat room up on rip .ie?

There used to be a pretty good regular crowd on there when I was active on the site before, just wondering has it al migrated elsewhere? Or have people just trailed off into the sunset?

I go on there sometimes on my personal account XXlalaXX and do ma thing

I also go on on this profile and talk about my club nights and what I’m trying to do and provide for the community

I always put it on my status like an hour before could be 50/60 there

Let’s try an experiment

I’ll put it on my status now see how many join in next 15 mins

The West

When I first joined I used to have good craic in the chat room of a Friday or Saturday night. Particularly when people started arriving home from the pub.

There was a couple of Irish women that could flood the room with worshippers within seconds of logging in and that was always funny to watch.

Another woman used to DJ and she was pretty cool to tune in too.

Eventually i got a bit bored of it and there were a couple of guys who were really just bullies and were deaf set on controlling the fun and the attention. I got bored and moved on.

Now we are going to have to connect in to see how many are there, not the most scientific of experiments.

Have went into chatroom a few times. Posted a message just saying hi and no response from anybody on. As previously said some just monopolise the room. Which when relatively new can be off putting.

Unfortunately trolls exist on every online forum

I think group cams and chat rooms groups are positive places when ur with the right people but they get so much bad press

It wasn’t always as troll-like, or off putting, I even used to get the odd compliment about not looking like a troll when I went on cam but not sure if that’s what’s meant

My experience was a lot more PG then yours, I will have to check it out at midnight next Saturday
