Anyone having issues with their message filters?

I have single males blocked from messaging me but I've received messages from three separate male accounts in the last 5 days.

Have you perhaps replied to their messages at any time in the past? If so then they will be able to message despite the message block.

If that's the case you'll need to block those profiles individually if you don't want contact from them

I've not had a mail in almost a month and I think it's for that exact reason that my filters are working. Most of my mails were from lads before I blocked them

I don't have any filters set, so can't comment, but, it happens now and then that I am unable to send message because of filters on particular profile/s - mind you, not that I want to be annoying, sometimes I do not notice setting and I fully respect that - so they do work.

No, these are newly created profiles, oldest one was a week old.

Like the poster above I don't have filters set... simply because I don't get enough messages to warrant setting them. But I know from chatting to others here that if ye'v messaged previously they can bypass the filter by continuing the conversation!! Block individually is the best way to avoid it!!

Can you create a fake female or couples account

Then change the details once its approved so you look like a male profile only and away you go sending messages

If you claim to be a woman but use a mans picture and name would that work

This was my thinking too. It may be a situation similar to this that results in filters being bypassed. I'm not going to test that though and I'm not suggesting anyone else does either

This was my thinking too. It may be a situation similar to this that results in filters being bypassed. I'm not going to test that though and I'm not suggesting anyone else does either

I've a feeling that's probably the case as the other message filters seem to work, just the single males that get through the filters with their stupid messages

I've had messages recently from very well verified "couples".

The issue with them is that when I look at their profiles there are no details at all of the male half and just () where the height and age should be.

Every single verification they have, some with up to 40 or 50, are all verifying these couples as a single woman.

The women are well below my lower age filter so wouldn't be able to message me if they were actually single women profiles but by having a couples profile with a non existent male they are able to get around filters.

When I mentioned this in another thread I was told that if a single woman claims to only meet with a male friend and is reported for that reason then admin will often change her profile to a couples one.

If this is true then it creates a major glitch where filters are concerned.
