How's everyone doing tonight? I feel uneasy listening to the wildness outside. Do storms bother you? Have you the candles ready and the phone charged?

Hope you're all safe and warm inside and your pets too. Take care.

Tipp, Clare,

Absolutely love sitting by the fire and listening to the wind howling outside. Not a thing sorted if the power goes

Love the sound of a storm, sitting by the fire hearing it whistling down the chimney.

Still have power and I think it’s beginning to ease

Just charged mine and have a few candles at the ready.

Not sure about schools. I'm sure there will be a lot a late starts as there's bound to be a lot of debris on the roads. Better to take it at a slower pace in the morning.

The intensity of the storm is definitely making me feel uneasy at times tonight, but I wouldn't usually be worried by them.

But now that I think about it I really haven't prepared anything if the power goes - so fingers crossed I won't be regretting that decision!

I'm closer to the coast so its definitely more exposed here then croke park and it does sound insanely intense at times. I had to move in stuff off the balcony there 2/3 hours ago as some things had fallen over.

I can't say how bad the rest of the city is getting it though!

Just inside the Pale

Up here in north Meath, it's pretty bad. Trees are down all around the area and no power. I would be worried about my garage, but Storm Debbie took the roof off it already. Aside from that we're grand. Let's see if the roads are blocked in the morning. I hope everyone is safe.

Absolutely true

Ireland is only a dot on the edge of the Atlantic.

If the direction of the storm changes by even 1 degree out in the Atlantic it will miss us

Mother Nature is the boss regardless of what the weather forecasters tell us

Behind The Bales

I was chasing a gate around a field an hour ago, in the end I got it flat and drove the jeep over it to keep it from blowing onto a road and causing damage, or worse hitting a car or causing an accident, I never ran home as fast in all my life.

So dangerous out there. Keep safe everyone

We used have 4 seasons. Now we seem to have a summer(wet or dry) and winter. Iv seen footage of 3 tornados in ireland this winter. There was a tornado warming yesterday. Pretty soon we will have hurricane season. The frequency and power of these storms has increased in recent years.

Well it's alright to be a bit concerned at it. People's work days are being affected and there's been extensive damage done to parts of the country. Two people are dead with the conditions possibly/probably playing a part.

Somewhere out there

The electricity went last night where I am, at 7.30pm!! In fact, the whole town was without electricity!! Luckily I bought a big candle on Friday and I have a decent torch too!! I was in bed by 9.30pm, nothing to do but cosy up in bed!!

I woke up after 2am and the electricity was back again!! Went back to bed and woke up again at 9.30!! Luckily I wasn't due in work this morning!!
